Option 1: Get an OEM Retrofit CarPlay first appeared in 2014, and many auto manufacturers started offering iPhone connectivity around that time.
I bought upgrade this for my 2014 Silverado 1500 and all I can say is I wish I wouldve done this upgrade sooner! Install was a breeze and only took 45 minutes. beware others trying to advertise based on price alone its not worth it. Additionally, there are aftermarket systems that you can have installed that will allow for your 2015 Sierra to have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as a feature. I cannot express the level of happiness given by keeping all major stock hardware with compatibility to new devices! Installed in my 2015 Silverado in less than 30 minutes. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
I would recommend his products to anyone who is looking to add upgrades to their vehicles. I shipped my cluster off over night and received the cluster,HMI and radio back with in just a few days!

I got the Android Auto/Carplay upgrade for my 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ.
Really was a plug and play setup and had everything going in under an hour.
This is due to GM removing those features on any HMI based application that also has CarPlay/Android Auto.
If your car already has Bluetooth connectivity, theres a good chance you can already use most smartphone functions wirelessly. I had WAMS supply the new modules, you cant beat the warranty they are giving to purchase from them, plus you get a 3 months trial of SirusXM when you activate the new radio.
It aint cheap but you definitely get what you pay for in this case. If youre on the fence about it, dont be.

A: No it does not. I now have a more updated system than before. Apple CarPlay worked amazing but the voice / speech recognition through the vehicle and weather application did not work.
We can absolutely build a custom application to retain Rear Seat Entertainment without Navigation but the cost will be higher than simply opting for Navigation.
